The Post UTME serves as an additional screening tool to assess admission seekers. It plays an important role in determining who gets admitted. A strong Post UTME score can boost your chances of securing admission, even if your JAMB score isn’t very high.
For example, let’s say you applied for Computer Science and scored 200 in JAMB. If you then score 300 in your Post UTME, your aggregate score will become 250, which is what ABU will use to assess your admission chances. That’s a big improvement!
So, if you study smart and perform well in the Post UTME, you can greatly increase your chances of getting admitted into ABU.
ABU Post UTME Exam Format
After completing your Post UTME registration, the next step is to sit for the examination. It is important to note that only UTME candidates are required to write the ABU Post UTME exams. D.E students are only required to register and wait for admission.
